Staff

Our teaching staff remains consistent with teachers having varying levels of experience and education. Most have been with Suburban School for a number of years. Each teacher acquires continuing education yearly in order to better meet your child’s needs and enable them to reach their potential. Our staff is CPR and First Aid trained. They also have background and fingerprint checks. Safety is Suburban’s first and foremost priority for your child.

Lead teachers responsible for implementing the school’s curriculum work as a team sharing ideas and planning activities. To help facilitate the bond between home and school, lead teachers introduce themselves to parents through a letter about themselves and their approach to learning, as well as a conference when your child first enters the school. If at any time you wish to discuss your child’s progress or any related issues, we are happy to arrange a conference. Lead teachers are also available via e-mail.

Additional staff members, such as afternoon and camp counselors, are usually college students who have an interest in working with children and often times are pursuing a career involving teaching or a related field.

State staff/child ratios are met at all times and we enroll fewer children than allowed in our classes.
