Summer Camp
Happy Acres Day Camp runs during June, July, and August for children ages five through ten (only our year-round four-year-olds are eligible for summer camp). Each group has its own wooded cabana area with a playscape, sandbox, and a large outdoor area for supervised free play. The tuition includes our daily morning swim lesson, afternoon free swim, arts & crafts, cooking experiences, and field days. Special onsite activities include a wacky sock day, carnival day, luau day, snow cone socials, and minute-to-win-it day.
Action games on our soccer and T-ball field are always played in the morning. In the afternoon, the children are involved in quieter, shaded activities either at their cabana or indoors according to the heat index. Lead camp staff members are CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certified.
We keep water coolers at each of the four cabanas and refrigerated water fountains are conveniently located outside our buildings. Campers bring their lunch with an ice pack to keep it cool, except for our four-year-olds that receive lunch from our Chef. At the beginning of each session, you will receive an outline detailing special events. Our goal is to provide a fun-filled summer and to give the children a change of pace that enables good gross motor development and positive social interaction. During all activities, we always emphasize good sportsmanship.
